Our volunteer chefs, headed up by Nathan Albertson of the Charleston Pickle Company, made a meal fit for a king! We’re talking about a gourmet meal with homemade soups, stuffing, and many, many vegetable dishes and desserts. Almost 60 turkeys were deep-fried and smoked, a feat that takes all day, but has some yummy rewards. Some rockin’ music was provided by Bobby Geiger of Spotlight Entertainment, and crafts by Laura Otero of Strategic Online Marketing Works. Thanks to donations by individuals and businesses we were also able to present CYDC with a generous donation check. To read more about CYDC, please check out their website http://www.cydc.org/
To all of those involved, thank you for sharing from your heart and helping us to make these children’s day a little bit brighter. May you have a blessed holiday season from all of us at K-Con.
